Dirty One Thirty
A satisfying day out that follows much of the 200 route — a proper gravel challenge without the full distance. If you are looking for early season opener and a chance to test your stamina this could be the route to choose. All the fun of the Dirty Reiver, with just a little less pedalling.
Those Looking for a Big Day
For those riders looking for a real test and a long days gravel riding. You should be comfortable self-supported in remote terrain. Suitable for those new to gravel who have endurance sport experience, those looking to step up their distance or anyone wanting a more ‘relaxed’ day. Though ‘only’ 130km completing this distance is a real achievement!
- Expect remote sections with limited access and support
- Confident being self‑supported for extended periods
- Ready for sustained effort and endurance demands throughout a long day
Terrain & Elevation Overview
The ‘Dirty One Thirty’ route follows much of the longer 200km route, a chance to share the ride with those riders. The trails are wide and typical of the access roads found in the border forests. Surfaces are fast rolling, predominantly wide and hard packed gravel.
After an initial loop and crossing the famous Dam wall, riders head into the fast smooth trails in the south. A return climb is soon rewarded by further fast descents towards the Lake and Feed 2.
Heading out again on steady climbs to the west, riders are treated with expansive views and intricate trails before the course split. Here 130km riders drop onto the Lakeside Way and a gentle run in to the finish to end a great day out.
Predominantly fast-rolling gravel on the forest access network, with remote sections. 2027 routes may change with weather and forestry work; the GPX is published two to three weeks before the event via Ride with GPS.
