Getting to Kielder Castle
Kielder is gloriously remote — that’s the point. Here’s how to reach the event, and where to stay for the weekend. Remember to book any accommodation well in advance.
Kielder Castle Forest Park Centre
- Kielder, Hexham, Northumberland, NE48 1ER
- Please don't follow satnav into the village — the route to the event centre is clearly signed on approach.
- Parking fills up, and some spots are a short pedal from the village.

By Car
The most practical way in. Travel with others where you can — space is limited.
By Air
Nearest airports are Newcastle (NCL) and Glasgow (GLA), both well connected.
By Train
Nearest station is Hexham, around 35 miles away. No direct public transport onward.
Local Area
Very limited mobile signal. Nearest large shops ~40 mins. NCN route 10 runs through Kielder.
